Our full-service interior design addresses all aspects of your project from the very early stages when we dream up concepts to the final stage when every last detail is put in its proper place. I am ready to take the next step, how do I begin a project with Appling Studio Design?

Simply complete this short questionnaire.  Once submitted, you will receive an email asking you to schedule a 30-minute phone call so we can learn more about your project and what you are hoping to accomplish. If we determine we are a good fit for one another, we'll schedule a 90-minute in-home consultation.

 

How can I best prepare to work with you?

We are going to help you interpret what it is that you really want, but that said, we like you to be as comfortable and confident with the purpose of your project and desired aesthetic before our in-home consultation. We believe the best way to accomplish this is for you to create a Houzz or Pinterest account and share liked (or disliked) images that are applicable to your project.  Once you have scheduled an in-home consultation, you will receive an email with instructions on how to set these accounts up.

 

Is there a cost for an in-home consultation?

Yes, there is a $125 fee for a 90-minute in-home consultation.  This is a non-refundable fee, but can be applied to a future consult should rescheduling take place.

 

What should I expect after our initial in-home consultation?

After our initial consultation, we'll present you with a proposal outlining the scope of work and estimate for design services for your consideration. If applicable, bid requests for your scope of work will be sent to prospective contractors of your choosing and/or from the contractor teams we have to offer. You will have the option to choose who you will contract with directly.

 

I have an architect and builder already established. At what stage in the project should we hire you?

The earlier, the better. Your builder and architect focus on designing a structurally sound and aesthetically appealing home, taking building structure and codes into account. As designers, we contribute the creative and architectural design elements, as well as the technical. We make sure room adjacencies, kitchen layouts and overall floor plans flow and are in line with the way you want to live/work. In addition, we are mindful of other structural and mechanical installments that have the potential to influence other desired design elements or layouts within a home.

 

Does Appling Studio Design have a minimum project size?

We pride ourselves in bridging the gap between jobs too small for large firms to take and therefore, welcome the opportunity to review projects of all sizes.

 

How will I know if I'll like the overall design and finishes selected?

We are excited to offer creative design solutions that you may not even consider. To best depict our vision for your project, we provide beautiful 3D design schematics that showcase the overall conceptual design and finish details so that you can truly visualize your space before making any final decisions.
